Isimple Shader System Merchant Resource
If you have been struggling to get a handle on Iray material setup, or you just want a more efficient material creation workflow, this set of four base-shaders can save you time, confusion and energy.
Isimple – just the basics you need most often (and nothing else).
Isimple+emitter – the basics, plus only the settings to make the surface a light emitter. Needed for anything that has glowing parts.
Isimple+volume – the basics, plus only the settings to make the surface transparent and/or SSS (Sub Surface Scattering). Needed for water, glass, wax, blood, milk, etc.
Isimple+translucency – the basics, plus only the settings to make the surface have translucency and dual lobe specular. Useful for single-sided SSS effects commonly used for things like skins, leaves, grass, etc.
Each of these variations provide purpose-built speed and a newfound clarity to the creation process, while fully maintaining the highest quality results from Iray. Taken as a group, these four shaders can cover most of the Iray materials you are likely to ever create for any product in Daz Studio.
