Description
This course is designed for parents of young children who are wanting to learn the skills necessary to help support their young children in learning how to read. You will be able to see how the process of your child learning how to read will go with 10 lesson videos. You will also get the E-book version of this course and access to monthly observation sheets to keep track of your child's progress. It is also important that understanding Dr. Montessori's method will be important to understanding the steps it takes to getting your child to learn how to read. Here is the layout of how the lessons will go:-Introduction to the course-Who is Dr. Maria Montessori? -The Sensitive Periods-Pre-Reading Skills: "I Spy" and Sound Games-The Sandpaper Letters-Writing Before Reading?-The Pink, Blue, and Green Series-Chalkboard Writing-The Primary Phonics Series-Encouragement for Kindergarten ParentsThis course is not linear in that each part of the progression of your child learning how to read can vary. Some areas may take longer than others. I usually recommend this course for parents who have children between the ages of 3-4 years old. However, if you do have a Kindergarten child, you can still greatly benefit from these lessons as well.
