Description
With this course you will be introduced to investing in publicly traded companies, known as the stock market and just how you do that. We will begin with opening a brokerage account which is a must to get exposed to the stock market. Canadian based accounts you can have in your brokerage account to hold Stock, ETFs, Index ETFs and chat about the basics of Stocks. Canadian based accounts discussed in this course are TFSAs (Tax-Free Savings Account), RRSPs (Registered- Retirement Savings Plan), FHSAs (First Time Home Buyers Savings Account) and Non-Registered Accounts. For each account I will go into their purpose of use and any special tax exemptions they may have that put you at an advantage. Following that we will dive into the basics of Stock investing in learning, what exactly is a stock, how to/how you can purchase it, how to assess stock Index ETF & ETFs (Plus the difference and similarities between these two styles of ETFs), what to look out for in picking your stock investments & think of prior to purchasing and in-real time we will visit 4 major stock research websites that I too use to help guide my stock investment decisions. This is all information on a basic level. My objective for this course is to leave you feeling a lot more informed and confident to which you arrived. Please enjoy the information I have put together and use it to further yourself.*Disclaimer. I am NOT a licensed financial professional and not equipped to provide you financial advice. I am but only an individual involved in the stock market and interested in informing you on how it works from my acquired research and knowledge. Take this information, do more information on your own and take on the risk of investing in the stock market based on your current financial situation. But do NOT let that scare you. It's FAR riskier to NOT invest than TO invest because the value of money is always going down but investments/assets are designed to increase in value over time. It's extremely difficult nor is there enough time on your side in allowing you to consistently work to generate A LOT of money in your life. You CAN'T work 24 hrs everyday or live forever. Though your money can work 24 hrs and investments you purchase to generate income can be held forever to be passed on to future generations assuming that everything is in order for that to happen. There is no guarantee investments you make will increase in value but from trends we have seen in stocks/investments over a LONG period of time it has been proven to be the greatest form of in-direct income. It's all about knowing well just who/what you invest in, what the companies you're investing in are doing to remain at their best (plus GROW), and holding on to your investments for a LONG time to see the highest returns. As great wealth does not come from scarce amounts of time.
