Description
There are two main versions of the Arabic language: Modern Standard, and Colloquial or Daily, which has many dialects, Egyptian Arabic, Gulf Arabic, Maghrebi Arabic, Levantine Arabic and many others. Some of the dialects are spoken so differently from one another that some speakers have a hard time understanding the other. Many dialectic words however are nonetheless still rooted in the original, or classical language. In this course we will not focus on Colloquial language and dialects. We will focus on Modern Standard Arabic. This is a beginner's course. It introduces the basics of the modern standard Arabic language and highlights the four language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. In the first part of this course, we will focus on being able to read and write the Arabic language. Starting with learning the alphabets; how to pronounce them with diacritics and how to write them at the beginning, middle and end of the word with examples. Then you will start practicing reading words, sentences and short stories. In second part you will learn vocabulary in different fields and learn how to count, say the colors, family members, body parts, and cloths.Animation videos were created to explain the material in a fun and easy way.
